| What do I need for ADSL? |
- A Telkom line - a normal Telkom line can be converted
into an ADSL line
- ADSL modem or router to connect your computer / network
to the ADSL enabled phone line
- The appropriate connectivity software and hardware
- Make sure that your computer meet the requirements for
ADSL:
- Operating system not older than Windows XP
- Pentium Processor, minimum 500 MHz
- At least 256 MB RAM memory
- ADSL routers typically connect to a computer (or network)
using a 10base-T (UTP) Ethernet interface. Your computer
will need to run TCP/IP networking software and have a
suitable
Ethernet interface.
